Original Character Profile:
Full Name: Belladonna Rosalyn Langley
Alias: Bella, Rose
Weapons: One, custom-made, rapier with thick jewels and carvings on the hilt; an opened red rose is on the very tip of the handle. Also has one flintlock pistol. She is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat.
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 180lbs
Eye Color: bright green
Hair Color: often described as 'golden' but its blonde
Occupation: Pirate; Captain of The Deadly Rose
Affiliation: Pirate, all the way
Quirks: Belladonna, being of noble blood, was raised to be proper. Despite the fact she is a pirate, she walks with her practiced grace and speaks proper English. She, surprisingly, has a very good sense of humor and can be quite perverted when the mood strikes. Bella loves to gamble and she's very good at hustling people when in a game of cards; her bluffing is phenomenal.
Appearance: Long blonde hair down to her ankles. Healthily tanned skin. Well-endowed with a graceful figure. Always wears beads in her hair and a special bandana as well as a Peathingy feather. Bright green, very expressive, eyes. White shirt with red vest and navy blue pants. Brown leather boots, black ribbon around her left wrist and leather sword-yielding glove on her right. Wears a pale grey-blue strapless shirt-like cloth held up by a brown belt under it all. Has a brown belt that holds up her pants and a grey sash keeping everything together at her hips.

Personality: Belladonna has the fighting spirit. She will never back down once she is challenged and needs coercing before she is significantly beaten. She does not trust most men after what had happened to her in the past. In the past, she commanded her ship almost ruthlessly but effectively, until she was mutinied upon. She doesn't let people close to her and has been hurt one too many times by men/people whom she thought were friends to trust so readily. Bella is more apt to trust women and, after a large fiasco concerning one Captain Jack Sparrow, she has taken her retrieved ship and used it almost as a housing for abused women. She almost never cries and it really has to be something that strikes a nerve to get her to reveal this emotion to anyone. She does, however, have the potential to be motherly as well as sweet and she this way, especially, with little girls. Bella gets drunk easily and will often say things she shouldn't and open up to people whom she normally wouldn't.
Pro's:
Cons:
History: Bella was born the daughter of a Baron; her mother was a commoner, eventually gone pirate. Her mother would constantly go away months at a time on different pirate-esque journeys, but would always come back with something for Bella, to take the girl's mind off of things.
Bella had a very posh childhood. She made friends with Elizabeth Swann and the other children that were around. She happened upon a Lieutenant Norrington one night at one of her families grand parties and developed a small crush on him that only escalated the older she got. When Bella was 12 she found, one fateful night, that her mother was brutally murdered by another ruthless pirate crew; she was never given details on how gruesome it truly was or even what really went on. She vowed that she would become a pirate, just like her mother. She always wears the medallion she received from her mother (a piece of Aztec Gold) as a reminder.
During her teenage years, she would spend countless hours on the docks, watching the Navy men scamper to examine all their ships. However, once she reached 18, her mother's ship and, what was left of her crew, were handed over to her. This was also around the time that the whole Norrington-Elizabeth fiasco was going on. Because of her own feelings for Norrington, that tore her and Elizabeth's friendship apart and Belladonna left. Her father does not like the idea of his only daughter risking her life everyday but he allows it as this is what Bella wants to do and he indulged her by giving over her mother's ship: The Deadly Rose. Since her father has a high standing in society he has signed Bella on as a 'privateer' though in all actuality the entire Navy knows she is an illegal pirate.
Unfortunately for her, Bella was in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong crew. The crew mutinied on her (not before torturing her mercilessly) and left her in a life boat on the open sea with one bullet in her pistol. While adrift The Black Pearl comes across her. After a very long, tiring ordeal, with the help of Captain Jack Sparrow and the Pearl, Belladonna managed to get back her precious ship from the crew that mutinied on her.
From then on, she has owed Sparrow many favors, which he has not yet come to collect upon. After everything was said and done, she has gone around the world searching for women in order to achieve her goal of an all female crew.
She was present for the war between the pirates and the EITCo. In fact, prior to that was the last time she saw James Norrington (but still never really had the guts to tell him anything). She still isn't really on buddy-buddy terms with Elizabeth, but she put their differences aside to help her kind. She heard straight from Elizabeth's mouth what happened to James and, while heartbroken, she remains on the open ocean, not very willing to return to Port Royal.
Sample Post:
Singapore was not exactly where she had wanted to end up on their routine run for supplies. In fact, she really hated this little backwater portion of the country, with its poor waterways and vastly unfriendly people. However, her ship needed to be restocked and the port on this end of the city was pirate-friendly. There really was no other choice.
Keeping one hand firmly planted on the rose-shaped jewel encrusted sword handle, Belladonna smoothed her way into the crowd. Following closely behind was her ever loyal first-mate and her faithful pet falcon. Belladonna stood out a great deal more than her first-mate, Natashia. Granted, the golden blonde hair that trailed to her ankles didn't help at all, but Natashia just looked more....local (despite the fact she wasn't Asian in the least).
Passing by various vendors (and listening to Dimitri's squawking when they passed rows of vivid songbirds), the female captain let her bright eyes gently rake over what was for sale. Nothing really piqued her interest or stood out as something that her ship absolutely needed. Though, there was this one stand holding various weaponry that Natashia stopped to peer at. The woman needed a few new throwing knives, after loosing her own in a short scuffle a few weeks ago.
Belladonna paused at the corner of the table and crossed her arms, looking around with disinterest. Curiosity caused the woman to peer around the corner and into the slightly darkened alleyway. After all, you never knew what could be going on down such a place and the prospect of being pick-pocketed now...didn't really appeal.
Vibrant green eyes blinked a few times, adjusting to looking down the darker alley. The only thing that drew her attention was a coated figure (whom she couldn't make out anyway) perched upon a box. It queued up her suspicion, but she faced forward again. Though, her overly cautious nature made the blonde take discreet glances around the corner every few second.
"Singapore..." she muttered, shaking her head.
