Appearance: To some and herself Amelia would appear odd. She has a thin face inherited from her father, completed with high cheekbones. Her lips are full and she has intense sky blue eyes. Her head is covered in thick golden blond hair, which she got from her mother’s side, her hair is also kept to the most extent she can. Amelia is tall for a woman, but unlike some she does not wear a corset, she had always hated the things, she is not thin but not full worn out either. She’s right in the middle where you can’t see her bones, and only some muscle.
Her attire is dresses for the most part, not fancy for she cannot afford that anymore but average, and dull bleak colors. Sometimes she will go as far as wearing pants. A blouse and boots, not because she wishes to dress like a man but because she finds it more calming and comfterable then most women’s clothing. Amelia was a countess in her early years and that has taught her to keep her head high, not matter how low your life seems to be.
Personality: Amelia is a very opinionated middle-aged woman. She’ll speak her mind when not even asked the question, which to some is considered rude, and she’ll just say anything that is on her mind. Coming from an unhealthy marriage Amelia can be a bit skeptical of men, not all men but some she just doesn’t like the look of, working as a bar maid for quite some years gave her the trick of reading men. Unfortunately she did not know how to do this trick for some time, leading to her almost being raped twice.
Amelia most of the time though is a caring, outgoing and opinionated woman, she’ll try her hardest at most things till she gets them right, or till she thinks she did. She’s also very stubborn, getting it from her father, and will always believe she is right, and try and find a poor excuse to prove so. All and all Amelia is a woman that is headstrong, strong willed and full of opinions.
Pro's: Good pistol marksmans, great manners and holds herself with grace. Observative, headstrong, and never backs down.
Cons: Does not fight well with a sowrd, speaks her mind when not asked, two faced, short tempered at times, and will do anything to gain something in her favor.
History: Amelia Grace Flint was born December 16, to a loving mother and father. She was the youngest out of five girls. In her young age Amelia was never really paid attention too, her four older sisters always had her mother and father around them, preparing them for their later years as young woman. Her mother tended to that while Amelia’s father attended to find them all suitable and honest suitors. Her second sister was married off first, fallowed by the first sister. Amelia and her other two older sisters were the only ones left, but that did not stop her parents from paying attention to the other two any less.
When Amelia’s third sister reached the age of 18 her mother sent her away to live with her great aunt, in Hungary. Amelia missed all of her sisters but she had one left, one was better then none, but her forth sister was cruel, she would verbally abuse Amelia when their parents weren’t around and once physically because Amelia wanted her porcelain doll. Amelia was from a very wealthy family, and she was only given the best, so when the time came to marry Amelia off for her last sister remaining had been married off as well. Amelia was a bit afraid. And she had all the reason to be, her mother was always inviting young boys about her age over to the manor and Amelia and the boy were forced to spend time together, time Amelia didn’t care for.
Then on April 6 Amelia’s parents had found a suitor, Andrew Joseph Hardbrook. He was everything her parents wanted for their youngest daughter, and everything Amelia hated. The boy was rude, thingyy, didn’t care what Amelia thought or said, her opinions her actions, he cared nothing for her alas they were to be wed both at the age of 18. But Amelia could not bare speanding the rest of her life with this man, so at the dead of night she packed up the belongings she had and left her manor, her parents, her older sister who was still unwed, and left everything behind forever.
Amelia’s life from then on was a little better then with Andrew, though she was not a countess anymore, for Andrew was a wealthy count, Amelia did not care for riches anymore. None that she could receive anyways, she spent most of her days working at jobs with little respect, a bar maid which did not put her in favor of misery, twice she was almost raped and once she was beaten for complaining about a very rude and forward customer. So Amelia did the smartest thing she could she left, and went aboard a ship bound for Port Royal, there she hoped to find work and decent people. When she arrived Amelia stayed at a inn in the town or Port Royal, she made a bargain with a not so well known pirate captian, boarded his ship and killed him. Yes Amelia was a kind woman but when she saw a gain for herself, she'd do anything, lie, cheat, murder, and everything in between. At the age of 29 a year after killing her captian she renamed the ship, Red Raven, and even went as far as to replace the ships boards with deep red paint, the water has worn it off but only a bit. Now at 34 years old she has made a name for herself, and conjured up a few tales of her deeds.
Word has arrived to Flint and her crew that Captian Sparrow, and Robinson are looking for the fountain of youth, now what sort of noble pirate would she be if she didn't make them share it.
Sample Post: Amelia opened the back door to the inn at Port Royal, dragging behind her a large barrel full of dirty water from the kitchen. She groaned as she turned it onto it’s side and unclogged the cork, greenish yellow water poured out of the hole and it made Amelia think what they made in the inn’s kitchen. She was 34 years old now and her future looked dim and gray, she would never leave this place, Port Royal was she home but also her prison. Amelia had seen various women far better off then she, nobles, which she had once bee, and it pained her to see those types of woman, she’d still be a countess if it weren’t for Andrew. Her blue eyes stung with tears that hung in them. She bit in inside of her cheek and finished pouring out the barrel; she had three more to do before she would be allowed back in.
It was about sunset when she had finished with the barrels Amelia wasn’t the strongest of woman. She stood and a pain shot through her back, she gasp and placed a hand at her spine quickly, stepping back till she hit the wall, she was aching all over. Running a hand across her forehead placing extra strands of her blond hair out of her face. It took Amelia a few minutes to regain her strength to stand up straight. When she finally did she walked back into the inn, into the dim lit and smoke filled building she had called home for quite some time. Amelia’s eyes darted to the counter where Mr. Mcgardy the innkeeper gave the middle-aged woman a smile. Amelia returned his with a weary one and dragged her tired bones up the flight of stairs to her room, it was on the end of the narrow hallway. Entering her room she just collapsed onto her bed, turning onto her side as the sun settled over the horizon of the sea, would her life ever change.
